KATHMANDU: Nepal on Saturday won the ICC World Cricket League Championship match against Namibia by five wickets with 17 balls remaining.
Earlier, Namibia had won the toss and elected to bat first during the match held at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur of Kathmandu. Namibia had posted a 196-run target to Nepal, which Nepal achieved in 47.1 overs.
With the win today, Nepal earned two points in the scoreboard. Nepal had already played four matches, without earning any point.Nepal and Namibia will play the next match on Monday at the same venue.
Nepal were at the bottom of the eight-team standings in the WCLC. Namibia were at the sixth position on the basis of run rate.
