Issuing a joint statement following the conclusion of the 13th EU-India Summit in Brussels last night, the EU and India said that they see the need to address the remaining constitutional issues. By calling for the constitutional settlement, the EU has also echoed the Indian line to address the constitutional amendments as favored by the latter. Though the EU has already welcomed the promulgation of new constitution of Nepal, India had issued a statement saying that it had 'noted' the promulgation of the new constitution in Nepal. The ensuing unofficial economic blockade after the promulgation of the new constitution was interpreted as India's displeasure over Nepal's new constitution. "The promulgation of Nepal's new Constitution will be an historic event marking the culmination of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement. The conclusion of this long process should lay the foundation for Nepal’s future political stability and economic development," EU had said in a statement issued after the promulgation of new Nepal was also an agenda of the summit that was largely focused on the issues between the union and India like trade and investment, foreign and security policy, climate, energy, water and migration. One taking the exams scheduled to be held from March 31 to April 8 for genuine students would face a fine of up to Rs 100,000 each or an imprisonment of up to six months or both. This action comes against the backdrop of reports of proxy students making it to exam centres and taking the exams for others across the country. Minor identified as Ashish Mishra was taken to MGM Hospital in Vashi after falling from his seventh floor flat balcony at Kalamboli area on Wednesday. Doctors attending him surprised to see that he suffered no major injuries. Ashish survived with a few scratches and a head injury. “We are all thanking God that our kid survived with a few injuries on his head and arms. Ashish was playing in the balcony, which has grilles, around 5.30pm,” said boy’s father, Vinod, a businessman, reported the Times of India. He slipped through the gap in the grilles while playing in the balcony of his flat at Krishna Park in Sector 15.
